This tour is specially designed for travellers who want to stay longer in Sapa and want to experience 1 night at a basic home stay in a hill tribe village and 1 night in a hotel in Sapa and save money in comparison by going by night train while still remaining friendly and quality services.


You will have enough free time to enjoy Sapa’s hidden charms. Enjoy a very warm welcome from our local tour guide who will guide you through this stunning piece of Vietnam. From the lush terraced rice paddies to the rustic charm of the native dwellings, Sapa and its surroundings is a place you’re sure to fall in love with! Many diverse groups like the Dzay, Dzao, Tay, Xa Pho or Hmong populate this richly cultural northern territory. You’ll sample their unique delights as you pass through each village.


Itinerary Details Day 1 and night 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Y Linh Ho - Ta Van (L+D)

6.30 – 7.00 Pick up from your hotel/ stay in the old quarter of Hanoi, transfer to the big bus and depart for Sapa Town.

9.30 We follow the highway to Lao Cai city with the first comfort break.

11.00 Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa.

13.00 Arrive Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of Hmong, Dzao and Tay ethnic people.

- Enjoy a lunch with local Vietnamese dishes

14.15 We take a short drive to Y Linh Ho and then trek through the rice terraces and along the Muong Hoa stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain and approach Ta Van village which is inhabited by Zay ethnic people late in the afternoon. Trekking distance is about 9km and it takes around 3.5 hours.

17.45 Check in at the homestay and introduction to the Dzay family. We spend time to enjoy the mountain life at sunset. You may attend cooking local dishes with the family and enjoy dinner in peace. In the evening, you can join the local bar nearby with music and socialize with other tourists. We will overnight at the homestay.


Itinerary Details Day 2: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (B+L)

8.00 We have breakfast prepared by the family and start a new day with more interesting trekking.

8.45 Keep walking to the rice paddies where you have a nice photo opportunity of the amazing surrounding landscapes. We trek through the bamboo forest and stop to have a panorama view of Giang Ta Chai village – home to red Dzao People.

11.00 We trek over the Giang Ta Chai Bridge to main road where the bus picks you up to go back Sapa Town. Trekking distance is about 4km and it takes around 2 hours.

12.00 – 14.00 Welcome drink at the hotel, check in and enjoy lunch. Take some free leisure time.

14.30 A short drive takes you to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black Hmong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station, a unique photo stop for a picture of the bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon.

16.30 We head back to Sapa town where you can enjoy dinner and the further evening by yourself.


Itinerary Details Day 3: Sapa – Hanoi (B+L)

8.00 We have breakfast at the hotel and some last free time to explore Sapa by yourself.

12.00 Check out time and clear all the bills.

12.30 – 15.00 Enjoy lunch with local dishes and some last free time to leisure or buy some souvenirs.

15.00 Meet all group members at the hotel to get ready for the trip back to Hanoi.

15.15 Get on the bus to go back to Hanoi with two comfort breaks.

21.15 We say goodbye to you at your hotel or accommodation in the old quarter of Hanoi. Trip ends.
