Itinerary Day 1: Hanoi - Trang An – Mua Cave – Tam Coc (L/D)

8:00 – 8:30 Your guide and bus will pick you up from your hotel or stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and start driving to Ninh Binh, on the way, you can experience the peaceful scenery along Highway 1A. We stop for a short break to stretch your legs before arriving at Trang An Wharf – the most exciting boat trip with sampan boats through caves and the stunning river surrounded by Limestone Karsts with rich fauna and flora.

After the boat trip you can enjoy our buffet lunch with Vietnamese Cuisines in our restaurant.

In the afternoon, we cycle through stunning rice fields with buffalos, goats along the road towards Mua cave. You can walk up to the top of the mountain where Mua cave is located, visiting lovely stalactites and stalagmites inside, then take a spectacular view from the top to the valley. You take a relaxing cycle ride back to Trang An through the villages to see daily life before we visit Tuyet Tinh Coc (the on top pagoda inside the cave) from here you can see the romantic lake surrounded by Karsts and jungles. We cycle back to the Bungalow to check in and have some free time to relax. Dinner will be served around 19:00 and the further evening you can relax at the bar or the pool.

Itinerary Day 2: Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel – Cooking Class – Bai Dinh Pagoda (B/L)

From 6:30, welcome a new day with sunrise Tai Chi and breakfast before we visit Hoa Lu, which is the site of a 10th-century capital of an ancient Vietnamese Kingdom called Dai Co Viet. This small Kingdom covered an area of only 300 hectares and reigned from the 10th century, during the Dinh and Le dynasties, to the 11th century, during the Ly Dynasty. The Kingdom was enclosed by a citadel. The citadel and the Yen Ngua limestone hills provided good defense for this kingdom against the invaders. There are two 17th century temples, modelled after their 11th-century originals that are on most itineraries to Hoa Lu. They are the Dinh Tien Hoang Temple (King Dinh temple) and Le Hoan Temple (King Le Temple).

We then go back to your overnight stay to enjoy a Cooking Lesson. We will show you how to make authentic cakes with simple home-grown ingredients. Enjoy lunch and check out.

In the afternoon, bus pick up to visit the glimmering Bai Dinh pagoda complexes, the largest pagoda, not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast of Asia. Scenically set on the foot hill of Dinh Mountain surrounded by amazing views of the exquisite river valley below and dotted and the limestone karsts dotted around which will take your breath away. This pagoda complexes stunningly boast an array of the most massive and magnificent architecture of Vietnamese tradition refined ever built that it takes a full day to explore all so you will visit some of the highlights that owned the national: 500 stone statues of “La Han” (Arhats), 2 huge bronze bells, one weighs 27 tons, other weighs 36 tones and Three bronze statues of Tam The (50 tons each). You get on the bus back to Hanoi where we arrive around 18:30.
